The Lunahra (the “Service”) is owned and operated by Turn Byte LLC. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
This is not a posek
The Service is a calculating aid and a record. It is not a rav, and nothing it displays is a p’sak. Vestos kavuos, questionable kesamim, an onset during bein hashmashos, anything touching pregnancy, nursing or illness, and every other real shailah must be brought to a rav. Where a calculation and a rav differ, the rav is right.
The shitos the Service follows are the ones you or your rav select in Settings. We take no position on which is correct, and selecting one is not an endorsement of it.
It is free
The Service is provided free of charge, l’zikuy harabim. There is no fee, no subscription, no advertising and no sale of data. We may add paid features in future; if we do, what exists today stays free.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
- One account is for one person. Do not enter another person’s health details without their knowledge.
- You may delete your account at any time, which deletes its data.
- You may use the Service without an account at all, in which case nothing leaves your device.
Links you create
A share link is readable by whoever holds it. A setup link lets a rav set your shitos and, if he chooses, lock them — after which they can only be changed with a code sent to his email address. Both are your decision to create and yours to revoke, except that a locked setting is precisely one you have asked not to be able to change alone.
The licence
What you may and may not do with the software itself is set out in the End User Licence Agreement, which you accept when you create an account. Where it and these terms differ about the same subject, these terms govern.
Fair use
Do not attempt to access another person’s data, disrupt the Service, or automate abuse of it.
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is”. Zmanim are computed from your coordinates and astronomical formulae and may differ from a printed luach; dates can be affected by a wrong location, a wrong timezone, or an entry recorded at the wrong time. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we recommend keeping your own record alongside it.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Turn Byte LLC is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
Turn Byte LLC is a United States company; the Service is hosted in the European Union and our data practices follow the GDPR, as described in the Privacy Notice. Where you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, including your right to bring proceedings there.
Changes
We may change these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.
